Edmonton gained a split in Vegas after a dominating Game 2 when Leon Draisaitl kept on scoring. Does anyone think Laurent Brossoit will have nightmares of the German skater? Probably.

Here are some nuggets to help with your NHL betting tonight.

Schedule Breakdown

Here is tonight’s breakdown.

  • Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers - 8:30 p.m. ET

The schedule keeps things very simple. Are there any other wrinkles?

Game 3’s So Far Have Seen Actual Home Cooking

There was a clean sweep of the games on Sunday. For once, it was home cooking that reigned supreme. All three teams won by a total of 18-9. New Jersey led the way with eight goals. Seattle used a five-goal second period to rout Dallas 7-2. Then, Florida won in overtime 3-2.

Naturally, Dallas looked out of sorts after Miro Heiskanen took a puck to the face. New Jersey scored the first three goals and never looked back. Finally, Florida took a commanding 3-0 series lead by outlasting Toronto in extra time. The Panthers have made Toronto’s “Core Four” look very ordinary. Auston Matthews leads that group with two assists. That is it.

ESPN Takes On The Puck Monday Night

Tonight is ESPN’s night to shine. Local coverage will only be available for pre and post-game coverage. Up in Canada, Sportsnet, CBC, and TVAS carry the contest.

Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers

Edmonton looked rattled in Game 1 defensively, and then Stuart Skinner kept them in Game 2 with clutch saves. The Oilers are a weird team because they look like Stanley Cup Champions for a game or two. Then, Edmonton appears to be no better than an AHL team. For hockey fans and bettors, that can drive everyone nuts. Now, the Over has been consistent, at least.

Watch where that number ends up on Monday night. Right now, it appears to be sticking at 7. Some believe it may slip back to 6.5, but that is not likely. The key word here is yet. It boils down to whether Vegas can score a few goals in Game 3. That answer feels like a yes, given how this series has gone so far.

The concern for Edmonton is whether the Oilers get timely saves. Which Skinner do we see, the Game 1 or Game 2 version? Will Vegas slow down Edmonton’s power play? Can Vegas mount any kind of attack? The first 20 minutes of Game 1 was a disaster.

Hey, we cannot forget another event preceding the Edmonton-Vegas tilt. The NHL Draft Lottery starts at 8 p.m. ET. It will be interesting to see who wins the lottery and who drafts Connor Bedard. Chicago, Arizona, Montreal, and Anaheim. Even Columbus has a +500 chance, and Anaheim leads at +340.

Some Wagers To Consider Placing For Game 3

  • Take the cross-sport parlay - Yankees, Knicks, and Oilers to win at +270.
  • Evan Bouchard's powerplay point is at -125.
  • Stuart Skinner save prop take the Under. See where it lands.
  • Goal scored in the first nine minutes of the Edmonton game is at -165.
  • A tiny flier on both teams scoring 3+ goals in Edmonton is +125.
  • Leon Draisaitl Over 1.5 points is -125.
  • Connor McDavid scoring two or more goals at +375.
  • A Chicago (+600) with Anaheim (+340) hedge is attractive in the draft lottery.

Good luck, and once again, thanks for reading! We will carry some more plays on social media as conditions warrant.

Thanks to BetMGM for their help.
