We’re down to the last eight at the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup with the quarter-finals taking place this weekend.

As usual, we’ve put together our Gold Cup soccer betting picks.

  • A tie in 90 minutes between Panama and Qatar is +250 with Caesars Sportsbook
  • Mexico to win by exactly 2 goals is +310 with FanDuel Sportsbook
  • Jamaica to beat Guatemala 2-0 is +650 with BetMGM Sportsbook
  • Jesus Ferreira to score anytime and USA to beat Canada is +169 with DraftKings Sportsbook

Panama (-355) vs Qatar (+270)

Despite being the sports betting underdogs, we expect Qatar to give Panama a solid run for its money.

Qatar defeated Mexico in the final group game and has only let in three goals so far from three games. At the same time, Panama lost to Mexico just three weeks ago in the Nations League and has failed to make a shutout in all three games so far at the Gold Cup.

Panama could still win this game, but we can see extra time coming after a tie in regular time.

Mexico (-750) vs Costa Rica (+490)

Mexico has the lowest price out of all eight teams in the quarter-finals, and it heads into this game having beaten Honduras 4-0 and Haiti 3-1. On the other hand, it did lose 1-0 to Qatar, so Costa Rica will fancy its chances of getting at least a goal.

Nevertheless, Costa Rica won only one of its three games in the group stage, and even then it let in four goals in a stunning 6-4 win against Martinique.

Guatemala (+225) vs Jamaica (-290)

Jamaica has looked excellent at the Gold Cup this year and it has now scored 10 goals from its three games and let in only two as well. It even managed to draw with the favorites, USA, back on matchday one.

Guatemala is also unbeaten after three group matches, and it also managed to tie 0-0 with Canada during this run. On the other hand, after letting in two goals in a 3-2 win against Guadeloupe and only narrowly beating Cuba 1-0, we think Jamaica is the clear winner in this quarterfinal.

USA (-300) vs Canada (+235)

Well, we’re back here again.

It's been only three weeks since the USMNT defeated Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League final. We predicted a 2-0 win for the U.S. that day, and after a goal each from Chris Richards and Folarin Balogun, the Yanks left Nevada with another Nations League title.

Now, after winning only one game in the group stages, we think Canada falls to another defeat. It managed to tie 0-0 with Guatemala and 2-2 with Guadeloupe, although it should have won those matches. Its only victory was against Cuba, as the Maple Leafs ran out 4-2 winners.

The absence of stars like Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies has really been felt, and it hands the U.S. a massive advantage in this game.

The U.S. managed to defeat Saint Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago by 6-0 scorelines in the group stages after a 1-1 tie with Jamaica.

In this quarter-final, it’s likely to be more of a convincing win than it was in the Nations League final for the Yanks. What’s more, Jesus Ferreira has scored two hat-tricks already, so we think he'll get another goal here.
