Is This Arsenal's Best Chance to Beat Manchester United?

Following a sensational victory in the Manchester derby and a tie with Crystal Palace in midweek, Manchester United will meet Arsenal in the Premier League. United is the only team to beat Arsenal in the Premier League this season and with the Red Devils now up into third, this is Arsenal’s best chance to put one hand on the title.

Here’s our pick for this gargantuan game in the EPL on Sunday.

Our three picks in a same game parlay is +1940 with FanDuel.

Bukayo Saka to Score

During Arsenal’s stunning run to the top of the Premier League table, Bukayo Saka has been arguably its best player. Saka has bagged seven assists and scored six goals, and the Englishman has missed just under 100 minutes of the 1,620 total minutes so far played in the league.

Saka also scored in the game between these two at Old Trafford earlier in the season and netted a penalty against United last year. It means two goals in his past two games against it, and with Arsenal likely to win again, picking him to score is an easy decision.

Bukayo Saka to score anytime is +230 with FanDuel.

Marcus Rashford Two or More Shots on Target

Amid United’s stunning run of form, Rashford has stolen the headlines again in what is turning out to be the best stint of form in his career. The Red Devils superstar grabbed the winner against City last weekend to make it 16 goals in 27 games for him this season with United.

Rashford’s confidence is beaming at the moment and he currently has a total of 2.5 shots per game and 1.2 shots on target each game too.

Although Arsenal is the favorite to win here, if United is going to score, it likely comes through Rashford. Regardless, we expect him to get many shots on goal.

Marcus Rashford to have two or more shots on target is +260 with FanDuel.

Arsenal to Win and Over 2.5 Goals

Although United is the only team to stop Arsenal in the Premier League this season, we still expect the Gunners to win here and likely go on to win the title.

Despite fantastic records against City and Chelsea over the past few years, United has been pretty bad against Arsenal. The Gunners may have lost to their Manchester rivals in September, but they had previously lost just one of the past five matches against them. In fact, during this period of failing to beat Arsenal, United only scored one goal in those five games.

Over 2.5 goals have come in the past three meetings between United and Arsenal, as the Red Devils won 3-2 in December 2021, while Arsenal won 3-1 last April before United's 3-1 victory this season.

Arsenal has also dropped points only once in the five games since the World Cup, beating West Ham United 3-1, Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2, Oxford United 3-0 and Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 - only Newcastle United has stopped it from winning.

To make United’s task even harder, Casemiro is suspended for this game and it makes this even easier for Arsenal to take all three points.

Arsenal to win and over 2.5 goals is +160 with FanDuel.
