Khvicha Kvaratskhelia Next Club Odds: Will ‘Kvaradona’ Move This Summer?
Napoli have slapped a €100m price tag on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following a string of sensational performances from the Georgian winger.
His remarkable form has put Europe’s leading clubs on red alert, and betting sites are offering odds on his next potential destination.
Napoli are the favourites to keep hold of Kvaratskhelia, who has been dubbed “Kvaradona” after running rings around Serie A defences this season.
He only cost them €10m when he signed from Dinamo Batumi last summer, but he has developed into one of the world’s most devastating forwards in Naples.
Only a handful of clubs would be able to afford to meet the reported €100m fee demanded for the tricky winger, so we have rounded up the contenders below.
Napoli
Kvaratskhelia is on course to win the Scudetto in his first season as a Napoli player after the Gli Azzurri surged to the top of the Serie A table.
Luciano Spalletti’s men have pulled well clear of the chasing pack, and only a meltdown of epic proportions would deny them the title now.
The Georgian forward is worshipped in Naples, where the fans have likened him to the late, great Diego Maradona - the last man to bring Serie A glory to the club back in 1990.
Adulation and silverware is a powerful combination, so Kvaradona may decide to extend his stay at Napoli, and he is priced at just 1/10 with football betting sites to do so.
However, his salary works out at €29,615 per week, and he could command 10 times that amount by leaving, so the club may need to offer him a large pay rise.
He may also grow disillusioned if Victor Osimhen leaves this summer, as the Nigerian striker has refused to rule out a transfer.
As such, Kvaratskhelia could be on the move, and he will have no shortage of suitors among Europe’s elite clubs.
Real Madrid
Kvaratskhelia is said to favour a move to Real Madrid if he decides to leave Napoli in the summer transfer window.
“His father and I are Barca fans, but Kvara loves Real Madrid,” said the player’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli. “If I see him in a Barça shirt I'll be happy, but he’s Madridista.”
That could be music to Real Madrid’s ears, but there is just one problem for Kvaratskhelia: Brazilian superstar Vinicius Junior.
Both men play in the same position, so it would be difficult to fit them into the same starting XI.
Kvaratskhelia could be shunted out to the right, where manager Carlo Ancelotti typically deploys either Federico Valverde or Rodrygo, but he appears to be more effective when cutting in from the left.
The Georgian winger has been sensational this season, but dislodging a world-class forward like Vinicius from the Real Madrid team is another matter entirely, so he may not be a priority for Los Blancos this summer.
However, they are priced at 6/1 with BetUK to sign him before the summer transfer window slams shut, making them the favourites if he decides to leave Naples.
Manchester City
Man City are next in the betting at 7/1 to sign Kvaratskhelia from Napoli in the summer.
He fits the bill for a Pep Guardiola signing - young, quick, technically gifted and proven at the highest level - so he could be an attractive target for the Citizens.
Competition for places is always intense in the Man City squad, and Jack Grealish and Phil Foden are currently the main two options down the left flank.
However, they are both versatile players that can be deployed in several positions, and Guardiola may decide he wants more of an out-and-out wide forward to line up alongside Erling Haaland in attack.
Chelsea
It could be hard for Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to resist the urge to get involved in the bidding war for Kvaratskhelia this summer.
The Blues have shattered transfer records since he purchased the club from Roman Abramovich last summer, but they are currently languishing in mid-table.
They run the risk of breaching Financial Fair Play regulations, but Boehly has shown no signs of slowing down his spending spree.
Chelsea’s attacking record has been dismal this season, in spite of the heavy spending, so Kvaradona could be an appealing option, and he is 7/1 with Unibet to join the club.
Arsenal
The Gunners could do with more attacking options as they bolster their squad for a return to the Champions League next season.
Gabriel Martinelli has impressed on the left flank, while Leandro Trossard can also play in that position.
However, Arsenal missed out on Mykhailo Mudryk after they were outbid by Chelsea in January, and they could still be on the hunt for a superstar forward.
Kvaratskhelia would be a great fit for the Gunners, as he has the speed, technical prowess and intelligence to complement the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard, so Arsenal are next on the list at 8/1 with new betting sites to sign him.
The Rest
Manchester United could be an interesting option at 9/1 with betting apps, as they clearly need reinforcements in the attacking department.
However, their star player - Marcus Rashford - prefers to play off the left, so Kvaratskhelia is unlikely to be a priority for the Red Devils either.
PSG may be a better shout at 11/1 if the Parisians decide to rip up their current project and rebuild with younger stars.
Liverpool are 12/1, but they may not be able to afford him as they reportedly pulled out of the Jude Bellingham race recently, and Newcastle are considered outsiders at 13/1.
The other teams in contention are Bayern Munich (14/1), Barcelona (16/1) and Juventus (18/1).
