Andalucia Masters Betting Tips: The Panel's 5 Selections From Southern Spain
Continental Europe hosts its final DP World Tour event of the year this week when Jon Rahm is the headline act at the Andalucia Masters in his native Spain.
The Panel were on the LIV golfer at the Spanish Open three weeks ago when he lost a play-off to compatriot Angel Hidalgo, but at least Alfredo Garcia-Heredia softened the blow with a top-20 finish at 9/2.
Rahm is a best-priced 14/5 with betting sites to go one better at the Real Club de Golf Sotogrande in San Roque, a relatively short par-72 course measuring 7,100 yards which took over this event from Valderrama last year.
The Panel remain on track for a fifth successive profitable month thanks to Thorbjorn Olesen finishing runner-up as a 25/1 each-way selection at last week’s French Open where Adrien Saddier also delivered a top 30 at 17/10 to make it 9.3 points in the black for this column during October.
Both players are included once again in The Panel’s Andalucia Masters predictions, starting with the Dane who narrowly missed out at Le Golf National.
Andalucia Masters Betting Tips: Stick With Olesen
Olesen looked set to give The Panel their fifth title-winning tip since the column started in June only to fall just short, but it may be worth keeping the eight-time European Tour winner on board.
The 2018 Ryder Cup player held the lead on a couple of occasions on a very congested leaderboard on Sunday and had a putt to force a play-off with Dan Bradbury which unfortunately he missed.
Despite another excellent week on tour which has seen him finish 12th or better in three of his last four tournaments, Olesen is priced at only a few points lower than he was last week, helped no doubt by the inclusion of Rahm, whose course form is restricted to his amateur days.
That’s where Olesen has a slight advantage, having shot a closing 70 for a top-10 finish 12 months ago, six shots adrift of winner Adrian Meronk.

Olesen also seems to like this part of the world after finishing 20th (2021) and 21st (2022) when this tournament was held at nearby Valderrama.
Wide fairways will favour big hitters like Rahm, but Olesen hits it over 300 yards from off the tee and it should be noted that last year’s winner Meronk ranked first for Strokes Gained: Putting at this event.
Only Thriston Lawrence ranks higher than Olesen for this metric in 2024 and with fast surfaces expected on undulating greens, that’s a skill worth having in the bag.
Solid around the greens and on approach, Olesen looks like mounting another challenge and he opens The Panel’s Andalucia Masters predictions at 22/1.
The Panel's Andalucia Masters Prediction 1: Thorbjorn Olesen To Win (Each-Way) - 22/1 With Unibet (Six Places)

Andalucia Masters Odds: Will The Spoils Go To Victor?
Four solid rounds gave Victor Perez a share of ninth spot with Olesen last year without seriously threatening the main protagonists, but the Frenchman has plenty of motivation to do well in southern Spain.
Perez, now playing on the PGA Tour, probably needs a win to sneak into the top 50 in the Race To Dubai standings – the cut-off point for the lucrative end-of-season tournament at the Earth Course.
Despite not troubling the leaderboard in his three appearances on the DP World Tour in the last few weeks, Perez did at least make the cut and he is just outside the top 40 for SG: Approach in the United States.
It was over two months ago that Perez just missed out on a medal at the Olympics, evidence that he can raise his game when the stakes are high and with Dubai out of reach as things stand, a big performance is required.
Perez is available at 40/1 with a couple of betting apps which are paying six places, good value bearing in mind some are as low as 22/1.

Andalucia Masters Preview: Jump On Jordan
Matthew Jordan is still seeking his maiden win at this level but there is every reason to suspect he could break his duck this week.
The 28-year-old from the Wirral has played well in patches this year, but overcame a mediocre spell to finish 10th at the Alfred Dunhill Links a fortnight ago which he followed with sixth at last week’s French Open.
Jordan started slowly here last year with an opening 74, but rounds of 69-69-68 ensured a top-15 finish and thoughts of what might have been.

About as long off the tee as Olesen, Jordan is also a very tidy iron player and is inside the top 20 using the Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green measure.
At 50/1 with golf betting sites, Jordan is the third of this week’s Andalucia Masters tips.
The Panel's Andalucia Masters Prediction 3: Matthew Jordan To Win (Each-Way) - 50/1 With SpreadEx (Six Places)
Andalucia Masters Predictions: Winther Wonderland In Spain
Jeff Winther was on The Panel’s radar for a top 20 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, but they picked the Dane a week too soon as he was one of four players to finish runner-up to Bradbury at the French Open on Sunday.
That result came courtesy of a closing seven-under 64 which ensured he went the whole weekend without dropping a shot, so his confidence will be high ahead of his trip to Sotogrande.
It’s been feast or famine for Winther lately with several missed cuts dotted in between excellent performances which have produced top 20s in three of his last five tournaments.
He was also joint-leader by two shots at last year’s Andalucia Masters heading into the final round, only for a closing 74 to ensure a sixth-placed finish, but at least he knows he can play well around this course.
Winther has excellent Strokes Gained numbers for both approach and tee-to-green, and is inside the top 30 for putting, so he has the game to compete here despite not being the longest hitter.
Although he is 80/1 with BetVictor, The Panel prefer to take the eight places offered by BoyleSports and lower odds of 66/1.
The Panel's Andalucia Masters Prediction 4: Jeff Winther To Win (Each-Way) - 66/1 With BoyleSports (Eight Places)
Andalucia Masters Tips: Fast Start On Cards For Saddier
Adrien Saddier gave us a 17/10 winning tip with a top 30 finish at the weekend and The Panel are keen to stick with the Frenchman, who has been playing really well in the last few months.
Saddier can be backed at 100/1 to win a first elite title, but The Panel prefer to take a chance on him in the first-round leader market.
Fast starts are becoming something of a habit with Saddier, who has been inside the top 20 after the opening round in six of his last eight tournaments.
He was in fourth place after Thursday’s round in Paris having burst out of the blocks at the Old Course the week before.
Eighth after round one in Prague and fifth in Aarhus, a pattern is clearly starting to emerge.
The only downside is that Saddier is in the final group, so the greens may not be in pristine condition but at least he won’t have to fight the wind in the morning which will have died down by the afternoon.
Saddier is available at 80/1 each-way for first-round leader with Bet 365, the last of The Panel’s Andalucia Masters betting tips.
The Panel's Andalucia Masters Prediction 5: Adrien Saddier First-Round Leader (Each-Way) - 80/1 With Bet365 (Five Places)
