Our MLB Picks For Tuesday 06/25
- The Panel Pick 1: NY Yankees Moneyline Over NY Mets @ -142 With DraftKings
- The Panel Pick 2: Colorado and Houston Over 8.5 Runs @ -100 With Fanduel
- The Panel Pick 3: Kansas City (-1.5 Runs) over Miami @ -100 With BetMGM
The subway series begins today as the New York Yankees face the New York Mets in a fascinating clash that's bound to divide the Big Apple.
Then, in two American League contests, the Colorado Rockies travel to the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals host the Miami Marlins.
The Panel has looked at all the stats, data and key players ahead of Tuesday's Major League Baseball schedule to bring you these three predictions with sports betting sites.
NY Yankees Vs NY Mets, 7:10pm ET
The New York Yankees were worried about Gerrit Cole, and for good reason. No one truly knew how long the ace would be out.
He returned last week and pitched solidly. Now, he attempts to up his pitch count against the New York Mets at Citi Field.
The Yankees are missing Giancarlo Stanton who is expected to be out for several more weeks with a hamstring injury - his eighth stint on the injury list over the past six seasons.
Now, the Mets will be missing Edwin Diaz who was suspended over being caught with a foreign substance on his hand.
These games often get into the bullpens, which can make wagering murky.
Best betting sites offer plenty of options, including the run spread and the early line there lies in the +110 to +120 range.
Can the Yankees be trusted to win a game here by two or more runs? Normally that would not be a problem. However, the first game of this series can take on a life of its own.
While the records do not matter so much, the bragging rights do. The Yankees are near the top of the MLB heap, while the Mets are battling to stay in the postseason picture.
The Panel believes that the Yankees’ starter will help the New York team from the Bronx to a close victory on Tuesday night against the cross-river rival Mets.
Panel Pick 1: NY Yankees On The MoneyLine -142 With DraftKings
Colorado Rockies Vs Houston Astros, 8:10pm ET
Houston have endured some considerable growing pains under new manager Joe Espada and it wasn't easy moving on from Dusty Baker with lots of obstacles thrown their way.
However, the Astros seem to be getting better at the right time, winning five straight games, including a sweep of the Baltimore Orioles.
Now, at 38-40, the Astros stand only 5.5 games out of first place in the American League West.
Colorado have allowed nearly six runs a game on the season and Houston is a park where runs can be had.
Even with two solid pitchers starting, that does not guarantee an Under here and the Over has hit in Rockies’ games in seven of the past nine contests.
Our pick here is to see this go eight for ten.
The Panel Pick 2: Colorado Vs Houston Over 8.5 Runs -100 With Fanduel
Miami Marlins Vs Kansas City Royals, 8:10pm ET
The Kansas City Royals are struggling over the past ten games going 3-7, but thankfully, the Royals come home to face the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night.
Miami are a National League worst (tied with Colorado), 27-51 on the season which includes an 11-24 mark on the road.
Meanwhile, Kansas City remain an excellent 12 games over .500 at home and score more runs at home than most.
Monday night saw the Royals open their series with Miami winning comfortably by a score of 4-1 and there is an expectation of more runs on Tuesday from these two teams.
However, Miami often produce these streaks on the road where they score less than three runs with frequency and stretches where they lose by two or more runs for several games on the spin happens far too often.
Odds of -100 were a bit of a surprise here and definitely worth taking if you can.
The Panel Pick 3: Kansas City (-1.5 Runs) Over Miami -100 With BetMGM
