MLB Odds & Tips: The Panel's Picks And Best Bets For Tuesday, July 2

Our MLB Picks For Tuesday 07/02

With July here, Major League Baseball takes much of the spotlight until the Summer Olympics later in the month.

The dog days of summer are just about here and a condensed sports menu helps bettors more than it hurts.

There's a full slate of Major League Baseball on Tuesday and with so many games, shopping around can be a bit daunting.

The Panel has looked at all the stats, data and key players ahead of Tuesday's Major League Baseball schedule to bring you these three predictions with sports betting sites.

San Francisco Giants vs Atlanta Braves (O/U 8.5, ML -190 Braves)

The Atlanta Braves are home and that is the most welcome sight for bettors as the Atlanta Braves pitching staff has been incredible this season.

Now, Reynaldo Lopez looks to continue his excellent first-half run on Tuesday night against the San Francisco Giants.

Though the Braves will be missing Ronald Acuna Jr., they are 26-14 at home and one of the better teams against the spread because of that home-field advantage.

The same can't be said of the San Francisco Giants, who are a mere 16-25 away from home and this opening game of a three-game set is a good time for Atlanta to mount a charge before the All-Star Break.

Lopez has been averaging nearly six innings a start as the “fourth starter” and boasts a meager 1.70 ERA on the season.

He has 5+ strikeouts in each of his past five starts, and his over 5.5 strikeouts come in at a tidy +110 on with many MLB betting sites.

Can the Braves win this series opener by two or more runs? It doesn't hurt that San Francisco flew cross-country for this series.

The Panel believes that the Braves will get the job done and open their series against the Giants with a much-needed win.

Panel Pick 1: Atlanta Braves -1.5 Runs +105 With DraftKings

San Diego Padres vs Texas Rangers (O/U 7.5, ML -105, Padres)

Dylan Cease and Nathan Eovaldi may be two of the lesser known pitchers in the league, but both possess some seriously dominating form.

Texas and San Diego do not hit quite as well as they should, which leads to whiff counter-err strikeouts.

Cease is getting swinging strikes at more than 13 per game over his past five starts, which is a good sign.

Despite two less-than-stellar starts, Cease has seen the Over here in five of his past seven outings.

He has 19 strikeouts in his last two appearances and faces a Texas team that just broke out for 11 runs against Baltimore.

Our pick here is to watch Cease whiff a high amount of Rangers batters on Tuesday night.

The Panel Pick 2: Dylan Cease Over 6.5 Strikeouts -110 With Fanduel

Milwaukee Brewers vs Colorado Rockies (O/U 11.5, ML -125, Brewers)

The Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies started out slowly on Monday night. One probably went to bed and figured it was 2-0 Colorado early.

Milwaukee will come back and win eventually. Wrong! However, the runs came as Colorado held on to win 8-7.

Anyway, records do not matter when it comes to runs scored at Coors Field. Colorado allows six runs a game on the season and almost seven at home.

Milwaukee scored seven runs with almost ease on Monday night and left a bunch of runners on base.

The two teams are expected to score even more runs on Tuesday and it also helps that Dallas Keuchel and Ryan Feltner are starting here - starters who arguably should not be at the Major League level.

Almost EVEN money was a surprise here, considering some had talked about the run total could go all the way to 12.5.

Thankfully, most sportsbooks have not shifted.

Let the runs rise!

The Panel Pick 3: Milwaukee and Colorado Over 11.5 Runs -105 With BetMGM
