Vikings Vs Giants Pick: Darnold A Little Less Ugly

The New York Giants' defense and offensive line remain largely unchanged and even the introduction of first-round draft pick Malik Nabers does not significantly improve them.

The Giants were 30th in points overall, even with Daniel Jones in for most of the first half of last season, though that improved somewhat when he went down to a season-ending knee injury.

Meanwhile, Minnesota lost Kirk Cousins to free agency and will now have to start Sam Darnold at quarterback for this one.

Darnold was ranked one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL in 2021 and 2022, and The Athletic ranked him 29th out of 30 starting signal-callers.

So, does Darnold exorcise his ghosts on Sunday? Our pick is yes, as Minnesota covers the -1.5 points thanks to his supporting cast.

Jaguars Vs Dolphins Prediction: Quarterbacks To Shoot It Out

This game centers on the fascinating quarterback battle between Trevorr Lawrence and Tua Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa, the more significant deep ball threat, threw 29 touchdowns and tossed an NFL-leading 4,624 yards last season with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle his top targets.

Meanwhile, Lawrence has potential with a more healthy lineup and if the offense cleans up on their mistakes (31st in fumbles lost), they can easily average 25+ points per game.

Not surprising then that the total is 49, with significant money leaning toward the over with NFL betting apps

So, the next Panel pick for this Sunday afternoon battle is for Miami and Jacksonville to score 50 or more points.

Broncos Vs Seahawks Preview: Nix Can Open With W

Bo Nix was expected to challenge for the starting job in Denver and after delivering in the preseason, will start in Seattle for Week 1.

The Broncos' offense was predictable last year, with Russell Wilson under center, but Nix adds the ability to throw the deep ball and can run with some solid mobility.

Seattle has a new coach, Mike MacDonald, and an adjustment period is expected and even though they are at home, the Seahawks' defense was the worst in the league in terms of allowing first downs and the 25th in points yielded.

Denver once again have dynamic quarterback who may make more mistakes but can give the Broncos’ rushing game room to grow.

The Panel believe Nix will take some late-game risks and have them pay off, so take Denver to find a way to win this game outright.
