NFL Week 5 Picks: The Panel's Selections For Sunday, Including Cardinals @ 49ers

After four weeks of the regular season we're still learning which teams are good and which are already turning their attention to 2025.

The best betting sites are all over this weekend's action and we are confident of another dramatic Sunday on the gridiron.

Browns @ Commanders Pick: Daniels To Dominate The Game

Week 4 showed once again that the Cleveland Browns’ offense gets in the way of winning. Their defense played well in their loss to the Raiders and they have allowed 350 yards or fewer in every game this season.

However, the Browns allowed 152 yards in the 20-16 defeat and their offense has not gone over 300 net yards all season. They might do against Washington this week, but the real focus here is on Jaylen Daniels.

Quarterback Daniels has command of the offense and has the Commanders believing. They are 3-1 and in first place in the NFC East.

The 42-14 rout of Arizona last week showed off Daniels’ arm and his ability to run. Daniels has 218 rushing yards and four scores this season. Washington's offense ranks third in yards on the ground and leads the NFL with 10 touchdowns scored.

With the line ready to feast, expect Daniels to enter the end zone with his feet on Sunday. The 49+ rushing yards for the mobile quarterback is also worth considering at -120.

Panthers @ Bears Prediction: The Continued Rise Of Caleb

This game could come down to whether Caleb Williams can raise his level as he did against the Los Angeles Rams last week. Williams did not make mistakes and D’Andre Swift ran for 93 yards from 16 carries.

The spread will be challenging if the Panthers play as poorly as expected, but the Bears should beat it. Four points is not a huge number here, as Chicago surprisingly covered against a more formidable Rams team in Week 4.

With Swift and Williams starting to find their legs, that can benefit Chicago. The Panthers are vulnerability to the ground game, allowing 140+ yards in three of the four games.

The alternative spread of 4.5 points is around Evens with most betting apps

A few diverse point spreads means The Panel pick is simply taking Chicago to cover here.

The Panel Pick 2: Chicago Bears -4.5 Points @ -102 with DraftKings

Cardinals @ 49ers Preview: Mason Is A Hammer

The San Francisco 49ers can find runners without a problem. An injury to Christian McCaffrey was thought to affect their chances of winning. However, Jordan Mason has stepped in and hardly missed a beat.

Mason has run for 100+ yards in three of his four games and he faces a Cardinals team that gave up 42 points to Washington at home. Also, Arizona has given up 403 rushing yards in the past two games.

Mason will get plenty of carries even with this diverse 49ers offense. He averages 4.9 yards per carry and if he gets handed the ball 20 to 25 carries, 100 yards or more is very reasonable.

The Panel's third pick is for Mason to hit the triple digits on Sunday.
