Packers Vs Eagles: Our Best Bets & NFL Picks For Friday, Week 1

Our team of experts dive into the NFL action, focusing on insights and odds from the best NFL betting sites as the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers clash on Friday night.

Continue reading for The Panel's in-depth coverage and expert predictions as the NFL season continues with an NFC clash at Neo Quimica Arena in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

Packers Vs Eagles Pick: Points Not At A Premium

The Philadelphia defense has remained largely unchanged from last year, where, along with the New York Giants, they were the worst statistically over the second half of the season.

The Eagles were 30th in points allowed overall despite having one of the more prolific offenses in the league.

Meanwhile, Jordan Love can spread the ball around and Josh Jacobs, a new running back from Las Vegas, had three 1000+ yard campaigns in five seasons.

So if the Green Bay offensive line can create space, they should be able to put up plenty of points, as can Philadelphia.

The Panel Pick 1: Green Bay & Philadelphia Over 49 Points DraftKings -110

Packers Vs Eagles Prediction: Jalen To Hurt The Packers

This game centers on the quarterback battle between Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts.

Hurts, the bigger dual threat, threw 23 touchdowns and ran for 15 last season, compensating for 15 interceptions.

Meanwhile, Love had a breakout season with 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, leading Green Bay to the playoffs, where they beat the Cowboys but lost to the 49ers.

The line is currently at 2, down from 3, with significant money leaning toward the Green Bay with NFL betting apps

So the next Panel pick for this Friday night NFC battle is for Philadelphia to cover.

Packers Vs Eagles Preview: Barkley To Find A Way

Saquon Barkley joined the Eagles on a three-year deal from the New York Giants in one of the bigger signings this season, but has enjoyed no preseason action ahead of Week 1.

Philadelphia's plan was to keep their offensive starters healthy, trusting practices and scrimmages and Barkley adds both a pass-catching and running dimension to an already strong offense.

With a line of 63.5 yards, taking the Over on Barkley seems tempting, especially as Green Bay may focus more on Hurts and the passing attack.

Philadelphia’s two 1,000+ yard receivers, AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, might create opportunities for Barkley and Over 70.5 yards at +130 is certainly worth considering.

But The Panel pick is for Barkley to find a way into the endzone on Friday night one way or the other with the former Giant keen to show the NFL that he is far from done.
