Men’s 400 Meters - (Quincy Hall, USA, +120)

The final of the men’s 400-meters takes place on Wednesday as Quincy Hall looks to pull off an upset over the favored Matthew Hudson-Smith of Great Britain.

Hall keeps improving and won the semifinal heat with a time of 43.95 seconds and, although Hudson-Smith holds the cards here, neither one of these runners won the 2023 World Championship.

The American ran a personal best of 43.8 seconds earlier in the year and might have a surprise in the story for the final, but Paris has been a little strange in that respect.

The idea here is that this may be one of the most volatile races this side of the 100-meters, a race in which Noah Lyles won by a torso lean. Could this be a race where the photo finish is possible? The answer is yes.

Hall is gaining steam here, but the numbers have not quite responded. Take the young man, anyway at +120 with betting apps

The Panel Pick 1: Quincy Hall To Win 400 Meter Gold - DraftKings +120

Men’s Weightlifting - Hampton Morris - (Team USA, +900)

Hampton Morris is a huge +900 underdog for the gold medal in the 61-kg weight division with China's Li Fabin expected to dominate this division once again.

Fabin won the gold at the Tokyo Olympics and three straight World Championships while recently setting a CWR in the snatch at 146 kg.

The snatch has eluded Morris when it comes to world-caliber lifts, but he is still a contender, lifting 176 kg in Phuket earlier in the year for a career best.

It's a long shot for the 20-year-old American to win, however, we saw Amit Elor make history in wrestling and become the youngest gold medalist in wrestling.

Our pick is for the American to pull off a big surprise over his Chinese counterpart.

Women’s Golf - Nelly Korda To Win (Team USA +450)

Last Sunday it was the world’s best male player, Scottie Scheffler, who surged to gold with a course record-equalling 62.

Now, the top player in the women’s game, Nelly Korda, will get her chance to defend the title she won in Tokyo three years ago.

Korda has been the best golfer in 2024 and, at one point, won six tournaments in seven events, including her second career major at the Chevron Championship.

Korda can get hot very quickly and her ability to string along birdies makes her dangerous on a course like this, where hitting accurately into the green is key.

Few, if any, golfers can gain strokes approaching the green and driving off the tee like the American.

This is why Korda is so difficult to beat and she very well could win with a final round charge much like Scheffler.
