Man City vs Arsenal Predictions:

Premier League matches do not come much bigger than this, and betting sites are offering numerous interesting wagers for Manchester City vs Arsenal on Wednesday night.

The outcome of this game at the Etihad Stadium will go a long way to determining which of these two sides wins the title.

Arsenal have a five-point advantage over City as things stand, but they have played two more games than the reigning champions.

Realistically, Mikel Arteta’s men need to beat Pep Guardiola’s side to keep their hopes alive. That will not be easy, of course, but Arsenal will give this everything they have got.

A hugely entertaining encounter is in prospect - here are our three betting tips for this titanic title tussle in Manchester.

Expect Goals At The Etihad Stadium

There was a time when matches between title rivals tended to be tight, tense affairs.

But over the last few years - thanks in large part to the influence of Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp - championship-challenging sides have aimed to win these head-to-head clashes rather than simply avoiding defeat in them.

Neither team will take a backwards step here. Of course, the nature of playing at the Etihad means Arsenal will have less of the ball than normal.

But that does not mean they will play without attacking intent. The Gunners have players who are capable of doing damage in transition, and they will commit bodies forward whenever there is an opportunity to do so.

Man City only know one way to play: on the front foot. They will take the game to their opponents in the usual manner.

Given Arsenal will not simply sit deep and hope for the best, this promises to be a goal-laden affair.

Even though they have dropped points in each of their last three outings, Arsenal’s attack has held up pretty well of late. They have now scored at least two goals for eight matches on the bounce.

Meanwhile, Man City are the division’s leading scorers, so a dull 0-0 is extremely unlikely as the odds on new betting sites show.

Tip: Both Teams To Score And Over 2.5 Goals – 11/10 with 10Bet

Man City Favoured To Dominate Arsenal

Man City still have their eye on a treble this season and they will look to start quickly in front of what is certain to be an electric atmosphere under the floodlights.

Arsenal will have to withstand some heavy pressure in the early stages, and if they can get to the half-hour mark without having conceded, that will be a job well done.

Keeping out this City attack is easier said than done, however. Guardiola’s charges have been scoring goals for fun of late.

Their last eight encounters in all competitions have yielded 31 goals, which works out as a remarkable average of 3.87 per 90 minutes.

It is notable that Arsenal started quickly in the recent 2-2 draws with Liverpool and West Ham United, before letting their opponents back into both games.

Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola

They were much slower out of the blocks in the 3-3 draw with Southampton last time out, and they will be wary of making similar mistakes early on here.

That could play into City’s hands. After all, this is a team which has put the ball in the net 37 times in 30 first halves.

The champions are adept at hitting the ground running and with the attacking quality at their disposal, they have the tools to hold a lead at the interval.

From there, it is hard to envisage City - the side with the best home record in the league - not going on to collect a precious three points and football betting sites fancy them strongly to do just that.

Tip: Man City/Man City Half-Time/Full-Time – 7/5 with Bet365

Back Mahrez To Bring Cup Form Into The League

Riyad Mahrez must be a manager’s dream. Left out of the starting XI for both legs of Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich, the Algeria international did not throw his toys out of the pram.

Restored to the line-up at the weekend, he responded in the best way possible by notching a fantastic hat-trick in the 3-0 triumph over Sheffield United in the first FA Cup semi-final.

In so doing, Mahrez surely did enough to keep his place in the team for the visit of Arsenal.

Only the exceptional Erling Haaland has scored more goals for City in all competitions than Mahrez, who often takes penalties and is a threat from open play too.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is a fantastic footballer, but he can be exposed defensively at left-back - as he was when up against Trent Alexander-Arnold and Theo Walcott over the last few weeks.

Mahrez will look to take advantage of any lapses from his former team-mate. At the odds available with betting apps, he is an attractive pick to break the deadlock.

Tip: Riyad Mahrez To Score First – 7/1 With Parimatch
