MLS Picks for 2023 Week 15
After the U.S. Open Cup round of 16 during the week, we’re back for our MLS picks for Week 15.
We have the odds from the best sports betting sites and break down each game with what we think will happen.
Inter Miami (+280) at Montreal (-115)
Inter Miami has crashed into 12th and now sits just above Montreal on only goals difference.
Montreal also beat Forge in midweek and it now means it has won its past five home games in a row and made a shutout in all of them.
These two also met back in a friendly just one week before the 2023 season started in February. Montreal won that game and we think it will do the same here.
Montreal to win 2-0 is +850 with Caesars Sportsbook.
Chicago Fire (+270) at New England Revolution (-115)
By this time next week, the New England Revolution could be back in second place in the Eastern Conference, and it should have an easy game against Chicago Fire this weekend.
The Fire has now let in 21 goals and it has won just one MLS game in the past six weeks. The Revs, however, have lost just three games all year.
New England to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +390 with FanDuel Sportsbook.
D.C. United (+220) at Toronto (+105)
D.C. United smashed LA Galaxy 3-0 in its last game and it has kept up its fight for a spot in the top six during the first handful of MLS games.
Toronto, however, has been the biggest disappointment this season, with it winning just two games and letting in 18 goals already. It is bottom of the Eastern Conference and we think D.C. gets another win here.
After scoring in the 3-0 win over the Galaxy, Christian Benteke now has six goals in 13 MLS games and he will fancy his chances once again against the division’s worst team.
Christian Benteke to score anytime is +220 with BetMGM Sportsbook.
Philadelphia Union (+230) at New York City (+105)
The Philadelphia Union registered its best win of the season last weekend by defeating New England 3-0, and it now means it is unbeaten in the past six MLS games. It also won in its last trip to New York earlier in May by beating the Red Bulls 1-0.
New York City comes into this game with five losses, and it is the lowest it has ever been in an MLS season after 13 games by sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference. It is also winless in its past five and lost four of those games.
Julian Carranza to score anytime, under 2.5 goals and Philadelphia to win is +1872 with FanDuel Sportsbook.
Atlanta United (+185) at Orlando City (+120)
Atlanta has scored the most goals in MLS with 28, but it has also let in 24, and it has made just two shutouts all season long.
Orlando has also scored the same amount it has conceded (16) and has lost the same amount of games as Atlanta (4). We think this points towards a narrow Orlando win with both teams scoring.
Both teams to score and Orlando to win is +325 with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Real Salt Lake (+240) at Minnesota United (-105)
Minnesota continues to move up the Western Conference with another 1-0 win last weekend at the Portland Timbers.
Quite incredibly, it now means all five of Minnesota’s wins have ended with a 1-0 victory. It is now playing against a Real Salt Lake team that has let in 22 goals in 13 MLS games, so the Loons should win and get more than just one goal.
Luis Amarilla to score anytime, over 2.5 goals and Minnesota to win is +446 with DraftKings Sportsbook.
Austin (+220) at Houston Dynamo (+105)
Austin and Houston Dynamo are set to meet for the second time this year after a 2-0 victory for the Dynamo.
Following on from two wins in a row for Austin, it is now ahead of Houston in the table. What's more, Houston has scored 11 and let in 11, while Austin has scored just 13. Just like the last game between these two, this points towards under 2.5 goals.
Under 2.5 goals is +100 with Unibet Sportsbook.
Vancouver Whitecaps (+200) at St. Louis SC (+110)
St. Louis City has now scored 26 times this season after a 4-0 win over Sporting Kansas City. It also sits just three points behind the MLS Cup champions and the league leaders in the Western Conference, Los Angeles.
Vancouver Whitecaps has still had a great season so far, but it has not won a game this season away from home.
St. Louis City to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +450 with FanDuel Sportsbook.
Cincinnati (+165) at Colorado Rapids (+140)
Cincinnati is still top of the overall conference with nine wins from 13 games and just one defeat.
Cincinnati also beat the Red Bulls on penalties in the midweek Open Cup games, and it has now put together an eight-game unbeaten run.
Colorado has now let in 21 goals and has also scored just 12 — only Houston and Kansas have scored fewer in the Western Conference.
Despite the odds favoring Colorado, we think Cincinnati wins easily here.
Cincinnati to win 2-0 is +1500 with Unibet Sportsbook.
Charlotte (+340) at LA Galaxy (-150)
The LA Galaxy registered its best win of the season last time out by beating LAFC at the Banc of California Stadium to move into the quarter-finals of the Open Cup.
It plays host to a Charlotte team that has conceded the most MLS goals this season with 25 allowed. Charlotte also lost to USL Championship side Birmingham Legion in midweek.
The Galaxy should get back to winning ways in MLS here.
Chicharito to score and LA Galaxy to win is +138 with DraftKings Sportsbook.
Dallas (+240) at San Jose Earthquakes (+100)
San Jose and Dallas are next to one another in the standings, although the latter is four points ahead of the Quakes.
There have been 64 goals in the 26 games involving these two so far, so we expect more goals in this one.
Jesus Ferreira to score anytime, both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is +313 with Unibet Sportsbook.
New York Red Bulls (+280) at Seattle Sounders (-105)
The Seattle Sounders are in search of their first win in two games after losses to Austin and Vancouver. They have a great chance to do so against a New York team that has scored just 10 goals and won only three matches.
Seattle has also scored 20 times and it should be an easy win.
Seattle to win 2-0 is +950 with Caesars Sportsbook.
Portland Timbers (+300) at Sporting Kansas City (-125)
Kansas City is back to losing ways after a 4-0 battering from St. Louis. It is, however, no longer in last place in the Western Conference and one point above LA Galaxy.
Portland is sitting in eighth now and has conceded just two goals in its past three MLS games. At the same time, Kansas City has scored just nine goals all season.
We disagree with the odds in this one and think Portland should win.
Portland to win and under 2.5 goals is +800 with BetMGM Sportsbook.
Columbus Crew (+290) at Nashville (-115)
Nashville is unbeaten in its last six MLS games and has won four of those games and scored 10 goals in those wins.
It will have a tough game against Columbus Crew, however, with it scoring 25 goals in 13 games.
Nashville should still win as it sits as the best defensive side in the league.
Under 3.5 goals, Nashville to score and Hany Mukhtar to score is +388 with FanDuel Sportsbook.
