MLS Tips & Odds: The Panel's Picks And Best Bets For Saturday, July 20

MLS Soccer has one more large slate before its All-Star Game which is followed by the Olympic break.

It will be intriguing to see who may be rested and who will play. Keep in mind that teams that have injuries may not be too keen on playing their best players on Saturday.

So, the US betting sites are all in for one more ride until late August.

Again, Apple TV and Apple TV+ are streaming options if a game is not available locally. Always watch the weather and pay attention to injury reports.

Three betting wagers is the plan. Do we try some longer options, or do we play it safe? Is there an unexpected result out there? The MLS All-Star Game is less than a week away now.

Our Team at The Panel has checked out the stats, guides and key players ahead of Saturday night’s MLS schedule, and picked out the following three betting predictions.

LA Galaxy Vs Portland Timbers (O/U 3.5, Galaxy -135)

The LA Galaxy bailed the bettor out on Wednesday by scoring three times but allowing two against Colorado. Now, the best part was seeing the over sail past easily along with the near-Even moneyline. Gifts are gifts this time of year, and that was a big one.

Can the Galaxy increase their home goal total? We learned that a few extra injuries to a road team can help. The Over of 2.5 goals is up to +130 with soccer betting sites.

However, we are going to once again lean on one and play the Moneyline. The Galaxy did not make things easy on Wednesday, and that could happen again on Saturday.

The home pitch is again beneficial as LA wants to go into the break on a winning streak. With how jammed the Western Conference is, every point counts, so wins are crucial.

The best betting sites offer a moneyline pick in the -135 to -150 range for Los Angeles.

The Over of 3.5 total goals is at -125, which may move to -130 or -135 even. Therefore, our goal is to keep it simple and ride that moneyline once more for Saturday night.

The Panel Pick 1: LA Galaxy On The Moneyline - +135 BetMGM

Philadelphia Union Vs Nashville SC (O/U 2.5, Philadelphia -140)

The Panel wonders if Philadelphia scored too many goals on Wednesday night against New England. They racked up five goals in all during the 5-1 rout at home. Once more, the Union is home trying to win again over Nashville.

With Nashville struggling mightily, the worry is that they find a way to pull an upset. Philadelphia only has six wins on the season after an awful start.

The Union has a long way to go just to get back in playoff contention. Philadelphia’s offense is now averaging 1.67 goals per game. That number jumps above two at home since the first month of the season.

A couple of options are on the table here as Nashville has really resembled a binary code when it comes to goal scoring. The question is does one try to go clean sheet or the Under of 1.5 goals?

Our pick instead is to opt for the draw with a small wager. It could potentially be lower-scoring.

The Panel Pick 2: Philadelphia And Nashville To Draw - +290 With DraftKings

Colorado Rapids Vs Real Salt Lake (O/U 3.5, Rapids -105)

The Colorado Rapids scored two goals on Wednesday night but the problem was they yielded three on the road in Los Angeles.

Now, that resulted in a loss, but Colorado gets to come back home and play Real Salt Lake. Real Salt Lake was extremely fortunate to escape from LA themselves with a draw on Wednesday.

Anyway, we attempt to avoid too high of a risk here. Colorado is favored to win, but we can get almost 45-50 cents on the dollar by rolling with this Moneyline and Over wager. This allows us to go with a lower team over than usual.

Both teams can score goals, and Colorado has now played five straight games in which it has either allowed or scored 2+ goals.

Four of these games have featured both outcomes. At home, the Rapids have the potential to score 3+ goals.

The Colorado team over of 2.5 goals is up to +220 on DraftKings if one wants to take a look. Meanwhile, the win for Colorado is at -105.

The win is likely, along with at least a few goals on Saturday night.

The Panel Pick 3: Colorado Rapids To Win And Over 1.5 Goals - +140 With Caesars
