MLS Picks: Week 13 Betting Advice and Analysis

It’s the first set of midweek MLS games this year and it comes after another chaotic weekend across both conferences.

We’ve put together our betting advice for the games taking place this Wednesday to help with your Major League Soccer betting.

Montreal (+380) at Cincinnati (-170)

This Wednesday’s games kicks off with the easiest game to call out of the 13 matches.

Cincinnati is in second after putting together a five-game unbeaten run in MLS games and the U.S Open Cup. It also has an extra game to play, so it could be in first place by the end of the week.

Montreal has turned a corner after its terrible start to the season, although it has still conceded 17 goals.

Cincinnati should get a comfortable win here.

Cincinnati to win, under 3.5 goals and both teams not to score is +217 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

New York City (+220) at Orlando City (+110)

Barely anything separates New York City and Orlando City going into this meeting in Florida. New York is ahead in the standings on goals difference, as it has scored two more goals and allowed one fewer.

Both have tied three games and won four, but Orlando has an extra game to play.

Because the two are so close in the table, we think a tie is in order.

A tie is +230 with Caesars Sportsbook.

Colorado Rapids (+360) at Atlanta United (-155)

It's four losses in a row now for Atlanta United after losing against Charlotte at home. It has, however, still scored 21 goals and won five games, compared to the two wins from Colorado Rapids.

Colorado also lost to the Philadelphia Union last time out and Atlanta will see this game as a great chance to return to the win column.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is +100 with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Chicago Fire (+230) at Charlotte (-105)

Charlotte's fantastic 3-1 win at Atlanta last weekend was easily its best game of the season. Chicago beat the high-flying St. Louis City.

It makes this one a tough game to call, but we’re giving the edge to Charlotte because it is at home.

Karol Swiderski to score anytime and Charlotte to win is +295 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

LA Galaxy (+270) at Columbus Crew (-125)

Columbus Crew tied 2-2 with Orlando City last weekend and it now means it has scored at least one goal in 12 of its 13 games this season.

What's more, despite beating the San Jose Earthquakes in its last game, LA Galaxy has still lost six times and conceded 18 goals — only Real Salt Lake in the Western Conference has allowed more.

The Crew is an easy pick here.

Columbus Crew to win 2-0 is +1000 with BetMGM Sportsbook.

D.C. United (+400) at Philadelphia Union (-165)

Philadelphia has finally started to look like the team that won the Eastern Conference last year after winning its past three MLS games. It has also scored seven goals in this time and moved up to fifth in the standings with a chance to go third.

D.C. United has failed to win its past three games and has kept just three shutouts in 12 MLS games.

Philadelphia to win 2-1, 3-1 or 4-1 is +370 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

New York Red Bulls (+185) at Toronto (+140)

According to the sportsbooks, this is the toughest game of the week to call, and we agree.

This game sees the bottom two in the Eastern Conference meet, as both Toronto and New York Red Bulls have won twice, tied six and lost four. The Red Bulls are only ahead of Toronto because they have conceded six fewer goals.

A 1-1 tie is +500 with Caesars Sportsbook.

Vancouver Whitecaps (+270) at Dallas (-110)

Dallas won for the fifth time in MLS by beating Austin in a Texas derby on Sunday and it has now also lost just three league games — this is the same as Seattle in first.

Vancouver Whitecaps has been very topsy-turvy this season by winning just two of its past five MLS games. It has, however, completed a shutout in three of those matches.

Dallas to win and under 2.5 goals is +341 with Unibet Sportsbook.

Inter Miami (+390) at Nashville (-160)

Nashville's 1-1 tie with D.C. United on Sunday moved it to a six-game unbeaten run that has seen it score 11 goals and concede only three.

Last season’s top scorer, Hany Mukhtar, has also got back amongst the goals during this time by scoring a hat-trick against Chicago and one against the MLS Cup champions, Los Angeles.

Inter Miami has won its last three MLS games, but it has made just two shutouts this year.

Both teams not to score, Nashville to win and Hany Mukhtar to score anytime is +376 with DraftKings Sportsbook.

Houston Dynamo (+250) at Minnesota United (-110)

For the first time this year, Houston Dynamo conceded a goal at home in a 1-0 loss to Seattle.

It heads back on the road this Wednesday and it will be looking to win away from home for the first time this season.

Minnesota was stunned 3-0 by last-placed Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, and given its need to bounce back from that terrible loss and Houston’s awful away record, we think the Loons win here.

Minnesota United to win 1-0, 2-0 or 3-0 is +300 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Portland Timbers (+270) at Real Salt Lake (-120)

Portland moved into sixth when it beat Vancouver 3-1 on Sunday, and it also means it sits on a three-game unbeaten run in MLS.

It has only failed to score in two of its 14 games this season and so far scored 24 goals and conceded 24 in these matches.

Ultimately, it means goals are practically a guarantee in Portland games, so we expect it to at least score against a Real Salt Lake team that has given up 20 MLS goals in 11 games. These two met just two weeks ago in a 4-3 win for RSL.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals is -107 with Unibet Sportsbook.

Sporting Kansas City (+430) at Los Angeles (-210)

The MLS Cup champions meet with last place this Wednesday when Kansas heads to Los Angeles.

LAFC has collected six wins and 21 points in 10 games so far and also has two games extra to play over Seattle in first. It means it can move into first if it wins those matches, and the Black and Gold have also scored 20 goals and let in only eight.

It should be an easy win for last year’s MLS Cup winners.

LAFC to win, both teams not to score and Carlos Vela to score anytime is +406 with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Austin (+400) at Seattle Sounders (-170)

Seattle became the first team to score at Houston this year by beating it 1-0. It remains top of the Western Conference as a result, and it has now conceded just nine goals and scored 19.

Austin has also lost five times from its 11 MLS games, and it has also conceded 18 and kept just two shutouts.

It should be an easy win for the Western Conference leaders.

Seattle to win 3-0 is +1200 with BetMGM Sportsbook.
